Control Resonant New Game Plus: Differences and Carry-Over

How to start NG+, what you keep, what resets and what is different on a second run.

Short answer

NG+ keeps your combat build and resets the story. Talents, Resonant Tokens, Max Health and Power, Artifacts, materials and outfits carry over; quests, Reach and Shift, Clearance keys and fast travel doors reset. Enemies start at higher levels, and you get a fourth Artifact slot and new Talent nodes (All Things How).

What is different on NG+

  • Enemies start at higher levels, fight more aggressively and resist shields better.
  • A fourth Artifact slot opens (three on a first run); see best Artifacts.
  • Extra Talent nodes link abilities with Aberrant attacks.
  • Resonant fights let you take the ability you skipped, and abilities from the same boss can be equipped together.
  • Some bosses gain new behaviors; tactics are in the boss guide.
