What is in the box
- The game on disc.
- A SteelBook case featuring exclusive CONTROL Resonant artwork.
- Three premium fine art prints showing key moments and imagery from the game.
- One poster with the main key art.
- A collectable outer slipcase with SteelBook Edition artwork.
The game content itself is identical to the standard edition. Everything above the disc is physical packaging and print material — there are no in-game items exclusive to this SKU.

The three-week gap is deliberate and applies to every physical edition. Remedy said it needed more time to deliver physical copies; the game itself had already gone gold.
PS5 or Xbox SteelBook: check the disc drive first
Choose the platform printed on the box. A PS5 disc needs a compatible disc drive; Xbox Series S cannot read an Xbox disc. An Xbox Series X|S product label does not make the physical copy usable on a Series S. Compare PS5 options and Xbox options before ordering.
Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop and EB Games: how to compare listings
Use the official game site to find regional sellers. Check that the listing says SteelBook Edition, names the right platform and includes the game; a case-only resale is a different purchase.
Compare delivered cost, seller identity, local pickup and the estimated arrival date at checkout. We do not have a live stock feed for Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop or EB Games; the release date is not a guarantee of local stock or same-day delivery.
Does a physical pre-order include digital bonuses?
No. Remedy Support excludes physical and SteelBook purchases from the digital pre-order offer. If a retailer promised extras, keep the listing and receipt and ask that retailer to resolve the discrepancy.
SteelBook or Digital Deluxe?
SteelBook adds physical collectibles; Digital Deluxe adds digital content. Buying the metal case does not grant the Deluxe package. Check platform and regional availability of a separate Deluxe Upgrade instead of assuming you must buy the full game again. See the Deluxe comparison.
