Frankie Kevich as Zoe

Zoe De Vera is the FBC agent who talks Dylan through Manhattan over the radio and, in the story, holds the controls to his containment device — so Kevich is in your ear for most of the game. Reviews singled the performance out: The Hoya calls the script and Kevich’s voice acting “nothing short of masterclass.”

The day after launch, Kevich posted about a Golden Joystick award nomination and thanked Remedy for the trust “to be your Zoe.” Zoe is also the quest-giver for post-game side stories such as Maintenance Protocol, and the one you have to convince in A New Directive.

Returning faces from Control

Sean Durrie has played Dylan since 2019, but Resonant is the first time he is the lead. Courtney Hope’s Jesse is absent for much of the story — where she is, and why, is the core of the plot; our story explainer covers it with the spoilers clearly fenced off. Langston gets one of the stranger side stories, decoding the mystery caller Fred in A New Directive.

New to the series? You do not need the first game to follow who these people are: see should you play Control first?
