PS5 Pro uses PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) for upscaling. Ray tracing is exclusive to the Pro’s Balanced and Quality modes — there is no ray-traced option on the base console.
Remedy’s performance philosophy

Dylan’s paranatural combat abilities provide different levels of resistance when you pull the triggers, so the adaptive triggers change feel depending on which ability is equipped rather than applying one generic tension curve.
The PS5 version also supports haptic feedback, 3D audio and Activity cards for tracking story progress. Fast travel between Manhattan’s zones is near-instant.
PS5-only early access
The Digital Deluxe Edition on PS5 grants 48 hours of early access starting September 22, at the same 2:00 PM GMT timestamp as the global launch. Pre-load for those buyers opens September 20.
This does not exist on PC or Xbox at any price. It is the single strongest argument for buying Deluxe, and it only applies to one platform.

On PS5 Pro the interesting option is Balanced — 2160p/40 with ray tracing, which needs a 120Hz-capable display. It is the only mode that combines ray tracing with a frame rate above 30.
Is PS5 Pro worth it for this game?
Pro raises Performance mode from 1440p to 2160p at the same 60fps, and adds ray tracing in two modes via PSSR upscaling. That is a real uplift, particularly on a large display.
It is not a different game, though. Remedy has been explicit that art direction and overall visual presentation matter more to it than resolution figures, and the base PS5 already runs the 60fps mode the combat is designed around.
