Step 1: repair the containment terminal
Inside the containment chamber, the terminal in the small room on the left will not boot. It is missing three parts (AllThings. How):
- Power module 1: close to the terminal. Slot it into the server rack beside the console.
- Power module 2: near cell A-01. Put it in the remaining rack slot.
- Satellite dish: near cell C-03. Climb onto a containment cell and mount it on the antenna tower until the light turns green.
- Select START SYSTEM on the console. Langston then asks you to check cell B-02.
Step 2: the real cell ID
B-02 will not open remotely. The “Note for Langston” on the crate by A-01 says the cells were reprogrammed clockwise to FBC standard but the plates were left as they were, so the labels read in reverse.
| Plate says | Real value |
|---|---|
| E | A |
| D | B |
| 5 | 1 |
| 4 | 2 |
That makes the radio’s cell D-04. Say “D”, then “04” on the intercom.
Update 1.4.0 fixed a bug where this cell door opened too early. If yours did, update and reload — see the patch notes.
Step 3: the radio broadcast
- 1. Pick up the Altered Radio and drop it, moving a few steps between drops. Each drop changes the broadcast.
- 2. Stop on the New York World’s Fair show where the announcer says Sunday, October 17th and that the fair ends that night.
- 3. While that segment plays, carry the radio to cell E-05 and place it on the pedestal.
